Canadian Home Resale Down Reports Reuters

Reuters recently reported that the number of homes sold in Canada has gone down in May compared to figures for the month of April. This report came after the Canadian Real Estate Association announced that the number of houses sold in the country has gone down by 9.5 percent.

The association stated that last month, 37,576 homes were sold. That figure is not only 9.5 percent lower compared to April but also 2.8 percent lower compared to figures posted last year for the same month. Also, the number of homes being posted up for sale has gone down by as much as four percent.

What this means is that more and more people are opting to keep their homes instead of selling them off which shows that they can easily afford the mortgage. Furthermore, it would be the perfect time for anyone to buy a home to get a move on. With the value of homes about to soar again after bottoming out just recently, waiting further could only lessen the chance of you getting a good deal when buying a home. Because even with the economy going strong, there are still people who are selling their homes for various reasons, and if you make the right moves, you might even find a short sale home.
